I have some good news, and some bad news…
The good news is that you, , are one of the last remaining songweavers, a legendary master artist and creator of the world’s most beloved music.
The bad news is…
…all memory of your music has been stolen by Spinphony!
And you’re not alone. Spinphony has robbed all of our music, harnessing our creativity in his evil plot to compose the perfect song.
He has banned all music except his own, only allowing musicians he deems “naturally gifted” to perform his pieces.
But don’t fear, ! Artists like you are joining together here at ArtPlay Academy to reclaim our voices, restore the joy of music, and end Spinphony’s reign once and for all.
Though Spinphony has clouded our minds, I know deep down the music is still within you…
To defeat Spinphony, you must restore the Chromatic Keystone, a sacred relic containing the world’s musical voice, including yours!
Spinphony has shattered the Keystone and hidden its pieces throughout the 12 Keydoms, guarding the shards with his loyal minions, the Fearlings.
Only by rebuilding the Keystone can we end Spinphony’s tyranny, and restore the joy of music to the world!

Your Journey begins now…
Before embarking on your Journey, let’s equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed for the challenges ahead:
You’ll be guided by Academy mentors through a series of 10-minute lessons. Each lesson is a practice plan with an intro, warmup, challenge, and play section.
The warmup is a scale or chord exercise focused on mastering music’s essential elements.
The challenge applies what you learned in the warmup to a real musical context: melody techniques, chord progressions, and improvisation.
Play brings it all together with a creative prompt to spark your imagination and help you rediscover your musical voice!
Each part of the lesson has its own help, bonus, and notes sections:
Help includes detailed instructions, practice tips, and what to do if you’re feeling stuck.
Bonus pushes you out of your comfort zone with extra challenges and in-depth music theory.
Notes is your space to write whatever you’d like and save it for later.
Slow down the lesson as needed, and gradually increase the speed until you can play along.
For an extra challenge, try increasing the speed!
Each lesson ends with a Song Seed, a creative prompt to help you rediscover one of your songs. Spinphony has stolen your memory of this song, so you must dig deep to bring it back to life!
You may create as many Song Seeds as you’d like, for each will be different and unique to you.
Once you create your Song Seed, you may record it, or upload a file from your device.
You can then save the recording to your profile, download it to your device, and post it on the Community forum.
Once you finish a lesson, you can Mark Complete to move to the next lesson. Each lesson also has a minimum timer to help pace yourself and ensure you are going deep into all the content.
If you are feeling stuck and want to come back to a lesson another time, you can Review Later in order to continue moving forward in your Journey.

I'm an advanced musician, can I skip ahead?
Why is there a lesson timer?
Journey lessons have a minimum timer to help pace yourself and ensure you are going deep into each lesson.
It can be tempting to skip ahead in moments of frustration or doubt. The lesson timer is a reminder to slow down—music is a lifelong journey, not a race!
Before the lesson timer completes, you can still use the “Review Later” button to move forward to the next lesson.
Where do I manage my membership?
